Cost of gas to fill car to get to hospital for lap band surgery ~ $60
Cost of a little extra babysitting over two weeks while I recovered ~ $100
Cost of protein powder and vitamins ~ $150
Cost of surgery because I have AWESOME insurance ~ $0
Seriously. Nothing. Zip. Zero. Zilch. It was all covered. From the doctor to the room to the anesthesiologist.
Crazy, I know.
Oh...and Weigh in Wednesday can bite itself....the number on the scale sucked today and I'm not talking about it anymore.
Lucky duck! THANK GOD I have insurance that covers it but it sure don't cover the whole damn thing! And don't worry, next week will be better :)
ReplyDeleteI am shocked that BCBS would pay 100% for anything at all!!!! I have been fighting w/ them for a long time for a breast reduction...to no avail...and I am in healthcare (on the business end) and see exactly how they screw most of their insured...so for you, I am super excited that you are having such a good experince!!!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you!!!!
BCBS, paid a majority of of my hearing aid two years ago. Most carriers don't cover (hearing) aids.

ReplyDeleteI had Cigna at the time of surgery and I was very fortunate that it paid all of mine too...glad it was the same for you!
ReplyDeleteYAY! That's awesome!!! I have BCBS, and they didn't pay for anything. :( Oh well!
ReplyDeleteScales definitely suck sometimes, but your next weigh-in will be GREAT, I'm sure of it! :)
